Hey there! Glad to have you taking a look around...I saw your blog, as well, on Limey's site. Enjoyed your comparison between the states and the UK.

I'm especially interested in your comparisons since you're living in Oklahoma!

I wouldn't put this all on yourself, Ryan. Aggregates have been one of the key missing features from Django - well, not *missing*, but harder to use than they should be. That will be fixed with the next release, which should be this coming Spring. Here's a preview:

I was pulling for Oklahoma State on Saturday. For purely selfish reasons, obviously (Go Gators!), but pulling for them nonetheless. Of course, I'll be pulling for Oklahoma against Texas Tech in two weeks for the same reason, so I guess you can't really call me a terribly loyal OSU fan.

I've got a buddy that blurted out "Dez is all cock!". He tried to rationalize that it means he's a stud, but we still make fun of him. (No matter how correct he is). :)

Wow. I wondered about the competitiveness now. I mean, it seems hard for the Post to scoop the Sun-Sentinel when they're going to see your copy before printing it.

Unless that was negotiated in the contract somehow...

Whenever someone in The Post's newsroom told their boss they had accepted a job at the Sun-Sentinel, they were told to leave immediately. No two weeks notice, just "get the hell out now." I suppose we might still do that in the future, but it's just about impossible to see that competitive attitude being credible when the Sun-Sentinel is both printing and delivering (in south Palm Beach County) our paper, and we're both publishing stories from the other.
